MES Energy S.A. undertook the “Supply and Installation of Renewable and Alternative Energy Technologies and Metering Equipment in Social Infrastructures of the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Drama” in the framework of the project “Demonstration Use of Renewable & Alternative Energy Technologies in Social Infrastructures of the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Drama”.

More specifically, the company undertook the creation of a microgrid of RES and Alternative Technologies at the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Drama facilities and specifically the creation of an Energy Saving System, an Autonomous Photovoltaic Plant with a capacity of 1000 kW, LED perimeter lighting of Biological Treatment Plant and LED lighting of Pumping Stations/Tanks, the supply and installation of an Intermittent Hydrogen Supply System, the supply of two (2) electric vehicles and seven (7) electric bicycles with accompanying charging stations as well as the supply and installation of metering equipment.

The contract worth €664,500.00 was signed on Friday June 30th, 2023 and is expected to be completed within four months of its signing.

The contract is included in sub-project No 1 & 2 of the Act: “Demonstrated Use of Renewable & Alternative Energy Technologies in Social Infrastructures of the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Drama” which has been included in the Operational Programme “GR-Energy 2014-2021”, Thematic Area “Renewable Energy Sources, Energy Efficiency, Energy Security” of the EEA Financial Mechanism (EFA) on the basis of the Integration Decision no. 66 XM EEA-13/7/2021 (Incorporation of the Act “Demonstration of the use of Renewable & Alternative Energy Technologies in Social Infrastructures of the Municipal Water Supply and Sewerage Company of Drama” with code MIS 5074878 in the Operational Programme “GREnergy 2014-2021” of the Minister for the Environment and Energy.
