Partners: MES ENERGY, ENERGEIN, KINNO INNOVATION INTERMEDIARIES
Project Duration: December 2025 – May 2028
PROJECT SUMMARY
The «SMART CLIMATE» project aims to create a modern and user-friendly Information System that will be used by operational units (SMEs and Public Entities) in Greece.
The main objective of the project is to offer support to operational units in evaluating and prioritizing targeted investments for enhancing the climate resilience and energy efficiency of their infrastructures (building infrastructure, municipal facilities, etc.). The project is co-funded by the European Union under the «Research-Innovate» action of the «Competitiveness 2021-2027» Programme.
MES Energy has a pivotal role in the execution of the project, leveraging its extensive expertise in energy applications, renewable energy sources, and environmental upgrading. The company leads several critical actions within the project’s work packages:
- Developing the methodological framework to systematically review and identify the most significant climate threats and available technologies for achieving climate resilience.
- Conducting comprehensive energy and thermal simulations across Greece’s four climate zones to extract vital Climate Resilience key performance indicators.
- Collaborating with operational units to co-formulate the decision-making model and accurately identify real-world needs and priorities.
- Applying the model in real projects to verify the system and analyse deviations.
- Investigating the model’s compatibility with advanced European frameworks and ensuring the tool aligns with EU sustainability standards.
