MES Energy S.A. has undertaken another project in the context of providing specialized energy consultant services for public authorities this time on behalf of the Municipality of Spata-Artemida.
In particular, it undertook the overall scientific support of the Municipality of Spata-Artemida, in joining the new Covenant of Mayors for Climate and Energy and in implementing all the necessary actions to develop an integrated, realistic and “traceable” single Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan of the Municipality of Spata-Artemida. It took over and delivered the accession support material of the Municipality of Spata-Artemida to the new Covenant of Mayors for Energy and Climate, the Baseline Emission Inventory of the Municipality and the Local Climate Change Mitigation Plan (SEAP) emphasizing on cross-sectoral mitigation and adaptation interventions to the effects of Climate Change, the initial assessment of risks and vulnerability from Climate Change to the Municipality as well as the drafting of the unified Intersectoral Action Plan for Sustainable Energy and Climate Mitigation and Adaptation to the Impacts of Climate Change and the completed model calculation sheet of the Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plan (SECAP) of the Municipality to be submitted to the platform of the Covenant of Mayors.
The aim of the program is for the cities/municipalities signing the Agreement to commit to take action to meet the EU’s target of reducing CO₂ emissions by at least 40% by 2030 and adopt a common approach to climate change mitigation and adaptation and resilience.
