MES ENERGY S.A. undertook the supply, installation, and commissioning of 824 LED lighting fixtures, that will lead to improved energy efficiency of street lighting in the Municipality of Marousi. Furthermore, MES ENERGY provided essential electrical equipment for the maintenance and repair of municipal facilities.
The replacement of energy-consuming Sodium lamps is expected to result in significant energy savings (surpassing 60%). LED luminaires, unlike conventional low-efficiency lamps, operate continuously for approximately 100,000 hours, which is equivalent to 20 years. Their long lifespan minimizes maintenance needs and saves costs for the Municipality of Marousi and its residents.
In addition to the economic benefits, LED lighting achieves better visibility, resulting in increased safety for vehicles and pedestrians, aesthetic enchancement of the municipality due to better lighting results, reduction of light pollution, and consequent environmental protection.
MES ENERGY S.A. successfully and on schedule completed all the individual tasks related to the upgrade of street lighting on central roads of Marousi.
