MES Energy S.A. Undertook the Supply of Electric Vehicles for the Municipality of Chania

The supply of five new electric buses, a cleaning vehicle and two fast-charging stations was undertaken by MES ENERGY S.A. on behalf of the Municipality of Chania. The contract was signed on Friday 18 November 2022 and it is expected to be completed during the following twelve months.

The electric buses are going to be used for the interconnection between the city center and parking spaces in order to significantly reduce traffic congestion.
The entire project is financed by the Ministry of Interior as a part of “Antonis Tritsis” program, which aims to upgrade municipal infrastructures considering sustainable development.
Representing MES ENERGY S.A. CEO of the company Kostis Terzis was attended the signing of the contract in Chania, where he made the following statements: “Chania will be a pioneer in electromobility field, as it is provided by the largest fleet in Greece and it seems to be the first city that will put them in operation.
Furthermore the Mayor of Chania Panagiotis Simandirakis said: “This is a part of a huge effort which concerns the energy saving policy, the need to have public transportations,which are environmentally friendly and also the improvement of the traffic congestion problem. During the signing of the contract was also present the Director of Research and development of the company Dr. Panagiotis Zervas as well as representatives of TAM-EUROPE, Bryan Zhao and Pedro Cardenas.
MES ENERGY S.A. has the technical know-how and the reliability in the field of electromobility and with this contract continues its course in sustainable development projects.
