MES ENERGY S.A. undertook the provision of services for the investigation and categorization of buildings in the Municipality of Heraklion, Crete in the framework of the project “Integrated Management Support for Energy efficiency in Mediterranean PUblic buiLdings-IMPULSE” (1MED15_2.1_M2_178), which has been included in the European Cooperation Programme for the Mediterranean area “INTERREG MED” 2014-2020. The company undertook the technical and scientific support of the Municipality, delivering a technical report for the evaluation of energy upgrade measures in public buildings, under the coordination of the Centre for Renewable Sources and Energy Saving (CRES). In the aforementioned project, MES Energy S.A. successfully used the developed excel-based tools for the implementation of the plan for the gradual energy upgrade of public buildings in the Municipality of Heraklion, which is a partner of the IMPULSE project.
MES ENERGY S.A. supports CRES in the capitalisation of the special tools for the implementation of Action Plans for public buildings that have been developed in the framework of the European Program “Efficient Buildings Interreg MED 2014-2020”. In the support of CRES, the company coordinated a specialised meeting with competent representatives of the Hellenic Ministry of Energy and Environment (HMEE) and prepared the necessary documentation for good use of the tools, with demonstration of results by the mentioned support service in the Municipality of Heraklion. A result of the capitalisation support services is the fact that, for the first time, tools of the Interreg MED projects (e.g. IMPULSE and SISMA) were uploaded in the supporting tools for the realisation of Plans for the Energy Efficiency of buildings (reffered to as SEAK) on the website of the HMEE.
The outcome of this effort was the substantial capitalization of the results of research projects, through the technical analysis and processing of energy performances, indicators etc. MES ENERGY S.A. continues to utilise and evolve the methods and tools used for planning energy policies and strategies. In combination with other relevant projects, the company has achieved a leading role in the planning of energy strategies of Public Bodies and Local Government Organisations
The aforementioned tools were uploaded on the following link, as supporting tools for the realisation of SEAK, in the framework of law 4843/2021:
