MES ENERGY S.A. undertook, on behalf of the Municipality of Thessaloniki, the supply of 3 electric four-wheel drive trucks MELEX 391.1 (5kW/48V) with tipper and washer for the Department of Cleaning and Engineering.
The purely electric four-wheel drive trucks have the best technical features in their class, with a roll-over system but with a special design for a washer system. Their design and construction follows all international regulations, offering international reliability with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & ISO 45001. They are specially designed to operate in areas with narrow roads, tourist areas and to move flexibly in the urban fabric. They have been designed to achieve maximum performance in terms of both road behaviour/autonomy and passenger safety. They meet all the existing provisions so that they can be released in Greece with a legal marketing authorisation since they have a European & Greek Type-Approval.
The electric motor with AC technology and 5 kW continuous power, is maintenance-free, silent and with a high torque of 14 Nm giving a maximum climbing capacity of up to 20%. It can comfortably and safely carry two (2) passengers, has a 1,750 mm long box axle (one of the largest in its class) and a net payload of over 600 kg.
The MELEX 391.1 electric four-wheel drive trucks are made of superior quality materials, according to the European Safety and Certification Rules. They have excellent aesthetic appearance and paint quality and carry all the comfort and safety equipment required by Greek and European regulations regarding accident prevention and employee protection.
Another innovative project of MES Energy SA that brings a municipality of Greece one step closer to environmental protection as it leads to the reduction of air pollution and noise pollution, while minimizing carbon dioxide emissions and promoting the more efficient use of energy.
