MES ENERGY S.A. undertook the task of supplying and installing four Microgrid Photovoltaic Units at the facilities of the Kilkis Municipal Enterprise for Water Supply and Sewerage.The objective is to enhance their energy efficiency and lower operational costs. The €1,534,500 contract was signed on Thursday 10 August 2023 and is expected to be executed over the next fourteen months.

The company also assumed the testing, operation, and management of the equipment for one year, ensuring its optimal performance. Furthermore, MES ENERGY will provide training to the personnel of the Kilkis Municipal Water and Sewerage Company to ensure proper operation.

The project is funded by the Development and Solidarity Program for Local Government “Antonis Tritsis”, titled: “Key water supply projects to ensure sufficient water quantity and quality for human consumption”.

The installation of Photovoltaic Units represents a significant step toward a more sustainable future, enabling the utilization of solar radiation for electricity generation. This initiative will substantially reduce the Kilkis Municipal Water and Sewerage Company’s reliance on conventional energy sources and will contribute to overall environmental protection.
